A hands-on neuroscience school for Latin America

The First FALAN Latin American Training Program in Neuroscience (FALAN LTPN) brings together roughly 27–28 selected students from across the region for three weeks of lectures, laboratory workshops, and direct mentorship with leading neuroscientists. The program runs under the umbrella of the Federation of Latin American Societies of Neuroscience (FALAN), with institutional support from the International Society for Neurochemistry (ISN), the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO), and Universidad de Santiago de Chile (USACH).

Students come from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, México, Peru, and Uruguay, working alongside speakers and instructors from institutions across Latin America.

Week 1

Santiago

Lectures and hands-on workshops hosted at USACH and partner universities in Santiago.

Week 2

Valparaíso

A full week of laboratory workshops hosted on the coast in Valparaíso.

Week 3

Santiago

The program returns to Santiago for its final week of workshops and lectures.
